Inserting Music or Sound Clips

You can add music and sounds from files on your computer, the Internet, or Microsoft Clip Organizer. You can also record your own sounds to add to a presentation, or use music from a CD.

You insert music or sounds on a slide, and a sound iconsound icon that represents the sound file appears. To play the music or sound, you can set it to start automatically when the slide displays, start on a mouse-click, start automatically but with a time delay, or play as part of an animation sequence. If you don't want the icon to be visible, you can drag it off the slide and set up the sound to play automatically.

Sound clips can include: voice, music and sound effects. File extensions may include: AIFF, WAV, MP3, and Windows Media Player files (WMA).

Insert Sound from File: Display the slide to which you want to add music or sound effects.

1. Pull down the Insert Menu.
2. Select Movies and Sounds then Sound from File to insert sound clips onto your slide.
3. Select the appropriate drive and file name for the sound you want to insert (Floppy "A" drive, "C" hard drive, CD-ROM drive, etc.)
4. When you make your selection, a message is displayed asking whether you want to play the music or sound automatically or when you click on the sound icon.sound icon
