What is a Dialog Box? (a special type of window that asks you a question)

Windows 7 uses dialog boxes to exchange information with you. As you read earlier, a menu command followed by an ellipsis (…) indicates that when you select the command, a dialog box will appear asking you for information that the program needs to complete the operation.

Procedures:

1. Open WordPad.
2.Type your name and click on the File menu and save the file to the Desktop.
3. Close the WordPad window.
4. Go to the Desktop, right-click on the file and choose the Delete command from the shortcut menu.
5. Once the Delete File dialog box appears, click on the Yes command button to delete the file.
