Adding ClipArt

Clip Art can include: scans, CD-Rom, Commercial Clip Art & the Internet.

PowerPoint comes with a wide variety of predefined images. This collection of images includes photographs, drawings, and other types of graphics that can be added to your presentation. There are two ways you can insert clipart. You can use the Clip Art button located on the Insert tab, in the Images group, and you can choose from the Clip Art gallery or you can choose the Slide Layout with the Content icon.

 
Inserting Clip Art from the Insert Tab Procedures:

1. Click on the Insert tab.
2. Click on the Clip Art button.
3. Your Clip Art task pane opens on the right side of the window.
4. Type the topic of your picture in the Search for: text box at the top of the Clip Art task pane and click the Go button. Select the clipart you wish to insert from the task pane, and it will be inserted into the slide. You could also search for clipart online by clicking on the Find more at Office.com link at the bottom of the Clip Art task pane.

If you want to use the existing Clip Art from the online Microsoft's Office Collection, click on the Find more at Office.com link at the bottom of the Clip Art task pane. The Office.com web page opens, and you can use the search box to search for images.

Once you find a clipart image that you want to use, you can download it or right-click and select Copy. Return to the PowerPoint slide and paste it by right-clicking on the slide and choosing Paste or clicking on the Paste button under the Home tab in the Clipboard group.

You can edit the Clip Art with the Picture Tools Format tab that comes up each time you select the clipart image. If you do not see the Format tab when you select the image, click on Format under the Picture Tools tab.

Insert ClipArt from Slide Layout Procedures:
1. You can choose the slide Layout button from the Home Tab in the Slides group on the Ribbon.
2. Scroll down to display one of the slides with the Content icon. Click on one of the choices, such as the Title and Content slide layout.

3. Point and click on the Clip Art icon in the center of the bottom row of the Content icon;
this will open the ClipArt task pane on the right-slide of the window.

4. Type the topic that you want an image of in the Search for: text box, and click the Go button.
5. Once you have selected a picture, click on it, and it will be placed in the slide.
