Tip 16 Using Charts in Slides |

You can change the chart type of an existing chart. PowerPoint offers many different chart types with multiple variations on each one. | |
Inserting a Chart: | |
Display the slide to which you want to insert a chart. 1. Click on the Insert tab. |

3. The Insert Chart dialog box opens up and then you can choose a Chart type and click Ok. | |
Inserting a Chart from the Slide Layout Procedures: | |
PowerPoint
comes with slide layouts that include placeholders for charts. 1. You can choose the Slide Layout button from the Home tab in the Slides group on the Ribbon. 2. Scroll down to display one of the slides with the Content icon. Click on one of the choices, such as the Title and Content slide layout. |

3. Point and click on the Insert
Chart button on the top row in the center; this will open
the Insert Chart dialog box. 4. Select the type of chart and click Ok. |

Modifying the Chart |
|
You can modify the chart with the Chart Tools tab that appears on the Ribbon each time you select the chart. You can click on the Design tab, the Layout tab or the Format tab depending upon your editing needs. |
