• In the film, Devil’s Playground, how do the Amish people both consume and resist popular culture? Please discuss the strategies used to consume and resist popular culture from the textbook and give specific examples from the film in your response.

• What are popular culture stereotypes of the Amish community that you knew prior to seeing the film, Devil’s Playground? How is the Amish culture represented in the film, Devil’s Playground? Does this representation reinforce or contradict the stereotypes you knew about the Amish culture? Please discuss how popular culture is related to stereotyping from the textbook and use examples from the film in your response.

• During rumspringa, in the film, Devil’s Playground, how are the four characteristics of popular culture illustrated in the film? Please use specific examples from your textbook and the film in your response.
