This course is designed to assist the student in learning more about personal values, personality, interests, exploration of career choice, and occupational opportunities through the use of various personal assessment instruments, readings, assignments, and personal reflections.
Dates and times

This class meets entirely online June 16 - July 23 2008. You must log on to the class by June 18, 5:00 p.m.; you will be dropped from the course if you fail to meet this deadline.

You can do your work at any time during the day or night during the week; nevertheless, you will have seven days (sometimes less) to complete an assignemnt. There will be weekly due dates.  It takes self discipline to avoid falling behind. Students will be required to complete assigned readings, participate in discussion forums, and complete internet assignments.

  • Go to www.gcast.com and open a free account. If you need assistance, step-by-step instructions will be provided the first week of instruction.
Orientation to Online Instruction

The Gavilan Library will offer several orientations to online courses during the first week of the course offering (June 16 - 19). If you have never taken an online course, this orientation will provide critical information to help you be successful in this class. If you are unable to attend an orientation on campus, a free online introduction course will be available (Library 732; CRN 80263). For more details see the schedule of orientations .
