Lab Assignment: Importing photos into iPhoto and printing photos in the lab.

  1. Import your pictures into iPhoto. Just insert your flash card in a reader and hopefully iPhoto will open. Click the Import button to start the importing process. Click the Library in the list on the left. Select the photos you would like to print and put them in a separate album. Under the File menu, choose New Album. Then drag the chosen photos into that album, then select it.
  2. You can get most exposure information by first selecting the photo, then under Photos, choose Photo Info or just do a Command (Apple key) i. This will give you settings that were used for taking the picture. White balance and special functions are excluded.

3. See print settings.

  1. To print everything in the album, make sure it is open and select the White Balance photos. Choose Page setup in the File Menu. Choose the printer and close the dialog box. Then choose Print. Select the Style = N-Up option to organize the Photos on the page. Hopefully, one will allow you to have a little room to write with a pen, the settings that were used for the picture.
  2. Write the White balance information under the proper photo.
  3. Repeat this page layout with relevant comments for the other picture categories: Backlighting and Focus Lock/Lens. Turn in the printed photos--make sure the information is there.
