| Introductory |
This course is offered as part of Gavilan College's Child Development major programs for a Certificate of Completion in Early Childhood Education or an Associate Degree in Child Development. It also meets a Social Science lower division general education requirement for the AA Degree or the California State University. Students will be required to the read the textbook, online lecture modules, and linked articles, as well as to participate in weekly online discussions (asynchronous). Students will be evaluated on their online participation, written assignments using APA citation format, and online examinations. |
| Special Note |
Many students begin online classes, but few complete them successfully without basic computer skills and personal discipline. The Gavilan Library will offer several orientations to online courses during the first weeks of the semester. If you have never taken an online course, this orientation will provide critical information to help you be successful in this class. In addition to orientations on campus, a free online tutorial is available that teaches students how to log in to their classes, upload assignments, and more. To participate, register for LIB 732.
