Gavilan Student Health
Student Health Services at Gavilan provides information about various health questions you might have, from Abuse to Tatoos and Tatoo Removal. Check this page for current and upcoming health-related events on campus.

If you would like to ask a question or discuss a health-related concern, e-mail Alice, the College Health Nurse, at adufresne@gavilan.edu

Look for "Let's Ask Alice" on GavTV, channel 18.  Check  out the Virtual Health Center for accurate, up-to-date information on health care issues at http://hsaccc.org/virtualhealth/index.html

If you come to campus, these services will be available to you:

  • First aid and emergency care
  • Confidential health counseling and assistance with health problems. Schedule a private, one-on-one health counseling session with a licensed, master's prepared nurse.  Get advice about your asthma, diabetes, weight management, high blood pressure or whatever health issues you may have.
  • Health education presentations and information
  • Health screenings, e.g. blood pressure
  • Referrals to health professionals and HIV testing sites
  • TB (tuberculin) skin testing
  • Over-the-counter medication
