COURSE MATERIALS: No text needed for this course. Our reading materials will come from the internet.
GRADING: The student's total points received divided by the total points assigned equals the percentage grade. A percentage grade of seventy percent or higher and completion of all assignments will earn a Credit (CR) grade; below 70% will receive a Non-Credit (NCR) grade. An assignment handed in late receives only half credit.
PREREQUISITES: Keyboarding and mouse skills; computer fundamentalsCATALOG DESCRIPTION: The Introduction to the Internet class will
provide students the opportunity to learn to use the Internet and the
World Wide Web. Topics to be covered include history of the Internet
and
the development of the WWW, web browsers, search engines, how to get
connected, e-mail, and tools to develop web pages.
No textbook is required for this class.
