Book Vote - Non Fiction

Instructions: Click on the link for a review, synopsis and picture of each book. When you've made your choice, go back to Module 1 and vote.

A word about the books:  These books were culled from a much longer list, using a set of criteria that I worked out specifically for this class. I wanted the book to be expository in nature, as opposed to fiction or classic literature. Each book explores a controversial topic, and posits some theories and ideas about that topic. Each author tackles hard questions about modern culture and the world we live in today, and our own responses to the world around us. Each author makes some attempt to answer those questions, and each book poses another set of questions to its reader. No matter which book you vote for, the goal will be to summarize and analyze the author's positions and claims, and to formulate your own response to the author's stances, and to the questions posed in the book and in discussion.

And now, without further ado, I present your book list:

Columbine
No Logo
Fast Food Nation
The Fingerprints of God
The Working Poor
