MLA Exercises 8-17

Purpose:

To practice MLA format for citations in formal research essays.

Overview:

These exercises give you practice with the ins-and-outs of MLA format, and of citation rules in general.  You can attempt them as many times as you like.  The one dumb thing is that the exercises don't change, so you will have to go through the same set of exercises the second time around.  Despite this shortcoming, these exercises will certainly give you some practical experience with the logistics of citation.

Directions

1. Go to the Diana Hacker website and log in.
2. Click on "Research Exercises" then on "MLA".
3. Complete the following 10 exercises.  In order to receive credit for these exercises, you will need to get at least 80% on each one. You can do the exercises as many times as necessary to get the required 80%.

Are there areas that you want more practice with or information about?
