These emergency resources include but are not limited to: food, clothing, shelter, domestic and family violence, child care, health, immigration, rape, suicide, power outages, and other crises.

Before you can receive any type of financial assistance to pay for college, you must complete the financial aid process. This includes completing the FAFSA Application and a GPA Verification Form by March 2nd (for calgrant eligibility). After that, you must follow up with the financial aid office to determine any additional financial aid forms you must turn in to speed up the process of your application.

Gavilan College offers FREE tutoring services in order to provide students with an opportunity to further develop their learning skills and understanding of course content. If you are having difficulty with any subject you are taking, make an appointment or drop-in for assistance in room LI 116.

If you need assistance in understanding math concepts in order to be succesfful in your math course, drop-in at the math lab for FREE services in the MESA center located in the Physics Building.
Return to the TopThe Gavilan College library has many resources to help you write important research papers for class. They have information on articles, books, search engines, and much more. In the library you can also access the computer lab, study rooms, and many other services.
If you ever have any health issues or concerns, you are entitled to receive FREE health services in the health center located in SC 118. Some of the services include: first aid and emergency care, confidential health counseling and assistance with health problems, health screenings (e.g., blood pressure), referrals to health professionals and HIV testing sites, TB (tuberculin) skin testing, and over-the-counter medication.
